Today in class we talked about high purchase products and the topic of contemporary are was brought up. It is crazy to think that pieces of art once worth thousands of dollars is now worth millions. People come from all over to attend these art show, which are usually held in some swank gallery most likely in New York City or Miami. This discussion reminded me of a 60 minutes episode I recently watched where Morley Safer did a segment called "Even in tough times, contemporary art sells" where he revisits the scene of a story he did years ago. Tupac

This past weekend Coachella music festival went on in California. Many amazing performances went on but the highlight was during Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogs night show. During the show they shared the stage with a hologram of Tupac Shakur, which had the audience thinking "BRO, I JUST SAW TUPAC'S GHOST".

Olympics

In exactly 100 days the Summer Olympics will begin in London on July 27. When I was growing up I was a swimmer and can remeber getting so excited to watch every water event. Then 4 years agp Michael Phelps changed the world of swimming and won the most medals ever in a game. WIll it happen again? I 'm thinking no...he has to be burned out... but we will see in 100 days if hes capable of doing it again.

Instagram started off as another app for the iphone and now EVERYONE has it. Facebook jumped at the opportunity and snatched it right up for a measly... 1BILLION dollars. Thats what I need to do invent an app that makes people thing they are professionals at something... because everyone who uses instagram are professional photographers if you did know....

Another up-session

This passed weekend another being to a trilogy was released. The Hunger Games made 155 million dollars and had the largest opening for a non- sequel ever. Of course as usually I was one of these fans... BUT now only a few weeks away I have another movie to wait for... my favorite movie off all time since I was in 4th grade... Titanic 3-D. When I was younger I saw the movie 13 times in the theater (crazy I know). My dad took me 7 times alone he would drop me off and go sleep in the back while I freaked out over Leo. Now I can relive my childhood, how I can't wait to sing along to "My Heart Will Go On" once again...
