Art

Today in class we talked about high purchase products and the topic of contemporary are was brought up. It is crazy to think that pieces of art once worth thousands of dollars is now worth millions. People come from all over to attend these art show, which are usually held in some swank gallery most likely in New York City or Miami. This discussion reminded me of a 60 minutes episode I recently watched where Morley Safer did a segment called "Even in tough times, contemporary art sells" where he revisits the scene of a story he did years ago. He may not enjoy it much but he can not deny that this art sells. Here's the clip from the show! Contemporary art sells

  1. Did you see today's news? "The Scream" just set a record for the highest price ever paid for a piece of art at auction.
